Rescue Me ID: 16-07-11-00091Luna (female)

Flat-Coated Retriever Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hello there! My name is Luna and I am a a year old female flat coat retriever/lab mix. I am approximately 50lbs and full of life and energy! My story is... My momma (Hope) was found on the side of the road and taken in by a volunteer. Not long after, I was born on Mother's Day! What a gift right!? My foster family fell in love with mama and I and kept the two of us. Unfortunately, some situations arose and I found myself back in foster care with FCHS at no fault of my own. Mama Hope and I would love to find a home together but if not I really cannot be an only dog, since I have never been alone in my life. A few things you should ... (Read More)know about me: I have not met a dog I could not make friends with. I live with several other dogs, most of them about my size, and have been great with the males and females alike. I even got introduced to a little 8lb dachshund mix and pretty much ignored him. Like I said before, I really need a playmate though, or I will be really lonely. I share my foster home with some pesky kitties and so far it is going pretty well. I will chase them if they run from me but I am not really sure what to do with them when they turn around and tell me to buzz off. Typically, I give them a look and then leave them alone after that. They are not afraid of me though so it works out well. I ADORE children! They are great and will throw the ball for me a lot more than foster mama will. I do sometimes forget how big I am and run into them, but the ones I live with do not seem to mind and the are pretty small. I am house trained and crate trained. I will settle down in my crate and snooze the day away if you are at work. I do enjoy a good cow hoof while I am in there though so that I can keep my mind entertained. A bed is okay too! I promise I won't tear it up! I would be a great running partner since I do have the lab energy and would really like an active family or a home with a fenced in yard so that I can run and play safely. However, I can jump a 4ft fence so if you have anything under 6ft I need to be watched. A fenced in yard is not necessary though if you can commit to a nice walk a few times a day. I am already spayed, microchipped, up to date on my DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. I am all ready for my FOREVER home! My adoption fee by myself is $225 If you are looking for two wonderful girls, the adoption fee for Hope and myself is $400. Rescue Me ID: 16-07-02-00091Julius (male)

Flat-Coated Retriever Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Julius was found as a puppy and is now 5 years old. The vet thinks that he is a Flat Coat Retriever... we have never had DNA test, but he looks like a purebred. He is very smart, loyal and loving, however he needs to be in a home with adults or older children and we have a new grandbaby. He is very fearful of storms and loves to be by your side! He would be a great dog for a family with older children because he loves to play, or he would make a great companion for a single person who has time for him...he does not like to be left alone.
