Flat-Coated Retriever    Age: Adult

Personality: High Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

We recently lost possession of our home and are moving into a rental that doesn't allow pets. We love Knute very much and placing him for adoption is the toughest decision we've ever made. (Read More)Once we met him, we were immediately taken by his playful, friendly nature; we knew he was coming home with us. He is a friendly, smart, playful dog who has never displayed aggression toward people or other animals. I sincerely hope that Knute finds a warm, loving home. (Less)

The Flat-Coated Retriever is descended from North American Newfoundlands brought into Great Britain from Canada. The Flat-Coated Retriever was supposed to have been descended from the St. John's Water Dog, but this turns out not to be the case. Flat-Coated Retrievers greet other Flat-Coats with a kiss, with each licking the lips of the other dog.
