Flat-Coated Retriever Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Duke/Dukie. I am around 3 years old and 45 pounds and a flat coated retriever mix. I am extremely friendly and love to go on walks! I have a big long coat (that sheds a surprisingly low amount) but right now I have my shorter summer haircut. I love all people, children, other dogs and am good with cats too! I am gentle and have not ever shown aggression. I love squeaky toys and to chew on sticks and romp around outside. I can be scared and nervous around new/small spaces, but with patience and encouragement I learn to be brave and explore. I came from a shelter in Texas that kept me chained up so I have a scar on my neck from ... (Read More)the collar embedding into my skin. I also struggled with heartworms but I went through treatment and am all better now, I just need to be kept on heartworm prevention every month. I have some skin allergies so hypoallergenic products work best for me. But overall, I have a heart full of love, a tail full of wags and love to romp and play! I am looking for a family that can give me lots of love, attention, patience, and time outside to play! (Less)

Hello! I am with The Humane Society of the South Platte Valley in Littleton. We have a flat coated retriever mix named Bud Snow who needs a rescue. He is 8 months old, neutered, microchipped, UTD on vaccinations and has a clean bill of health. He is in need of socialization, obedience, a playmate and lots of structured exercise. Providing these is difficult in a shelter setting so he is currently in a foster home to help with some of his issues. He is easily overwhelmed and has difficulty relaxing and calming himself. He is currently living with another dog, a cat and 3 birds.....none of which he has any issues with. He has no propensity for ... (Read More)chewing/destructiveness and is housebroken. He does well with humans and all sized dogs. Rides well in the car. Basically a big goofball who is still growing into his body. Would you be able to get this guy out of the shelter? Please let me know if you need more info or have questions. Thanks so much for your consideration - Cyndi Geist 303-789-5206 (Less)
